| The founders of Chanting Yoga combine
a fascinating range of international influences and
inspirations spanning the arts, medicine, spirituality
and traditional meditation practice. |

| Dr. JUHI GAUTAM (M.B.B.S., M.R.C.P.)

has been a practitioner of pranayam
and mantra meditation for over 20 years. This central
theme in Juhi's life could not be more appropriate
as she was born in the ancient spiritual city of Vrindavan.
In recent years Juhi has pursued the vision of bringing
chanting yoga into the lives of others. The other
side to her life is that she qualified as a doctor
in Bangalore, India. She then trained as a physician
in leading teaching hospitals in Birmingham and London.

During her time of specialist training
in cardiology under the guidance of Professor Gareth
Beevers (of the British Heart foundation and Blood
Pressure Association) and Dr. Richard Carroll (Cardiology),
she observed the links between meditation and improved
health. Her professional life is now dedicated to
work as general practitioner in London.

has a long experience in both mantra
meditation and bhakti yoga, both of which are integral
to her life. She is now devoted to sharing the beauty
and benefits of chanting yoga with others. She became
absorbed in this sphere after a career in quite a
different field; she originally studied architectural
design before becoming a very successful high fashion
model. Leaving her native Brazil, she worked around
the world at the very top of her profession -
|
 |
|
she was the first Brazilian model
on a cover of an international fashion magazine. Ana
then entered the world of films following a period
of study of the dramatic arts. She lived and worked
in Paris and New York before settling in London where
she now works as a model, actor and producer. She
just finished writing her first feature film script.
On September 20th 2007, her painted portrait will
be exposed at the National Portrait Gallery in London
due to her involvement in Charity. Portraits of 208
of the worlds most inspirational women will be at
the Gallery for the launch of a world tour of the
book "Confessions to a serial womanizer"
written by Zerbanoo Gifford.
